Yoga Class Definitions
If you are not sure which class to try, just start with the one that best fits your schedule. All classes are geared toward the beginner, so you are perfect where you are.
Here are some definitions to get you started on this wonderful journey of self-healing!
Yoga Flow
Take it easy or make it challenging. You decide what’s right for you on that day. All postures will have modifications to suit your bodies needs, you’ll be amazed at how fast you progress.
Gentle/Basic
Need help relieving inflammation or muscular pain? This class is offers easy to learn postures and breathing techniques to practice throughout the day. Quieting the mind and calming the nervous system.
Yin
Go slow, go deep, go yin and go in. Simple and gentle, yet often extremely challenging. Working with a cold body, postures are held long periods of time going deep in to re-align body, mind and spirit.
Slow Flow
Slow gentle sequence of postures, working at your own pace to achieve peace of mind through the flow of postures. Looking to challenge your core? Slow Flow is intense! For beginners as well as advanced.
Power
Ashtanga style. Learn to generate heat in the body, promoting greater range of motion, detoxification, and most importantly healing. You will sweat in this class, have water on hand to hydrate afterward.
Vinyasa
This invigorating style of yoga links breath and movement in a free flowing sequencing of postures. Increasing strength, flexibility and endurance. Great for those with prior yoga experience.
Kundalini
In a hurry to experience the positive results of yoga? Try Kundalini. Releasing the stored energy at the base of the spine un-tapping 100% of our potential. Great for beginners having the flexibility to push past your comfort zone while working at your own pace. You’ll leave feeling totally energized!
Donation only. All donations go to our community. Bring your family. Bring your friends. We get together weekly to share our energy, help our community, and have fun practicing yoga. ALL ages welcome.
One entire hour to relax and meditate. Gentle postures and guided meditations to bring body and mind into a state of relaxation.
Hatha Yoga is the most widely practiced form of yoga in the world. Hatha Yoga uses postures (asana) and conscious breathing (Pranayama) in combination with mental focus to develop awareness, strength and flexibility, and relaxation. Through proper alignment and mindful actions of the body, Hatha Yoga brings balance, strength, and a sense of well-being to the practitioner.Flow-Based Hatha Yoga uses movement and breath together to produce a “flow” of postures that lead from one to the next.
