Wellness Coordinator, Accountant and Reiki Practitioner
Reiki is a healing technique in which the practitioner channels energy by means of touch to produce healing in the body and restore physical and emotional well-being. It is fitting that this gift of healing chose Cindy because that is what she is by nature… a Healer. Cindy completed her undergrad work in Nursing at Michigan State University. After graduation, her caring nature led her to become an oncology nurse. She soon moved on home health care so she could spend more time getting to know her patients and teaching them the skills they needed to return to health on a more personalized one-to-one basis. Cindy eventually took on a healthcare management position where she could use her extensive knowledge to help her staff to provide the best nursing care possible.
After retiring from the health care profession, Cindy’s love of learning and helping others did not stop there, she took on many volunteer positions ranging from PTO to organizing breast cancer awareness fundraising teams. Cindy took a position at the Orion Art Center where she quickly became involved in all aspects of the center. After being a huge fan of Soothe Your Soul from the beginning, Cindy joined finally joined the staff in 2014. Technically, she is the behind the scenes magic and handles all the accounting, but she brings much more to Soothe Your Soul than she lets on. Cindy has a beautiful, determined spirit that keeps everyone around her inspired, she is a wealth of knowledge, a skilled energy healer and a definite complement to the SYS team. Not to mention, she has an amazing sense of humor and a wicked awesome wit!
